  • ATCAA Canned Food Drive

    Sonora Elementary is hosting a canned food drive during the month of November to benefit ATCAA Food Bank.  There is a box decorating contest that will be judged the morning of November 16.  The classroom with the winning decorated box will get an extra recess on November 30th with Mr. Boyles listening to music on the lower field.  Canned food donations are being collected in classrooms from November 5 through November 30.

  • WANTED:  CITIZENS OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE MEMBERS

    The Sonora School Board is seeking “Parent “ and “Community” representatives to serve a four-year term on the Citizens Oversight Committee. The purpose of the Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) is to inform the public concerning the expenditures of bond revenues. The committee normally meets on a quarterly basis. An interested citizen would need to be a parent who has a child enrolled at Sonora Elementary or a person living within the Sonora Elementary school district boundaries. Student of the Month

    Picture of Gracie Bearden, October Student of the Month We are pleased to announce our October Student of the Month as Gracie Bearden. 

    Gracie is the daughter of Mike and Jackie Bearden and has been a student here at Sonora Elementary since kindergarten, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. In the past few years she has represented Sonora El in basketball, volleyball, track and cross country.  In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, cleaning, reading and spending time with family.  She shared her favorite thing about living in our area is having the chance to go snowboarding and loves the tight community.  She will be attending SHS next year and looks forward to going to school with more peers and making new friends.  Her teachers describe her as helpful, kind, having a strong work ethic, reliable, and an overall outstanding student.
